That's about it Rebecca. Tomorrow is the full liquid diet and you won't get the cream of wheat. But then once you do the bowel prep you won't care much. Jeanne

Rebeca, To give you some perspective, there are some folks here that have to be on liquids for 2 weeks prior to their surgery. The liquid diet helps to clear out your insides - helping to prevent infection during your procedure. FWIW, I had to do 2 rounds of the 2 weeks of liquids. It's not forever and it's about changing the way you think for your new life style. You'll do great. Sheryl In the Zoo

i did the liquid diet for two weeks prior to surgery and hated it, but it was ooooooh soooo worth it. It let my surgery be a success. I had an attempted surgery prior to that which was aborted mid-surgery due to an enlarged liver and misplaced gallbladder but after the liquid diet my liver shrank and they were able to due my surgery laprascopically and more importantly, FLAWLESSLY. my recovery was extremely quick (was riding my bicycle 2 days after i left the hospital!) and i've done really well with losing weight with no serious complications. So just keep telling yourself what rewards you'll recieve! You're about to become healthy!
