Hey, everyone thanks for the info. I guess I need to go to the gyno. I am not sure if I am having thyroid issues or perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms. My mom had a hysterectomy when she was 28 so I don't have her to look to. Boy Usta sure is "full" of information eh? Everyone together.......Thaaaanks USTA!!!!! Thanks to all of you for your insight. A few years ago I suspected I was going thru menopause, but blood tests said no. I was happy about that. About nine months after my WLS, I started bleeding. Now mind you, I've been taking shots of depro provera for 10 years for my endrometrosis. I thought it was because of the death of an aunt, and other problems. This lasted for a week. It began to happen more often, and the nurse said it was my hormones. Why didn't this happen sooner? When I got my shot in July, the doctor did a biospy, which came back negative. I got the hormone thing again from the nurse in October. On December 29, I'd been bleeding for SIX weeks!! The nurse didn't flinch when I said that. I wanted to talk to the doctor and she wouldn't let me - he was too busy. I told her that the doctor told me to call if I had any problems, and she said if I had called the day before she could have seen about it. She told me to make an appointment for the following week. I told her that I couldn't afford it and I asked her if it could possibly be menopause and she said no, every quickly. Then she left. I bled for 3 1/2 more weeks before it finally stopped. I told my psychologist about the incident and she asked what made her an authority on menopause?? I do not get hot flashes or night sweats. I have nothing to go by as my mom had not gone thru the change when she had a hysterectomy at age 42 and her mother was 55 and had not gone thru it when she had her hysterectomy. My depression and mood swings have been a part of my life for many years, so I can't blame menopause for that. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that you get the answers you need!
