Are there foods that you miss?

I'm sure we all have certain foods that we miss. I am sitting here wanting some chopped liver so bad. I know that one bite would have me running. It sucks that Traverse City has no real deli, but I guess it's good because I cannot get my chopped liver.

Diet pop. OMG I miss diet pop so much. I would give my left arm for some diet sierra mist. I also miss pizza hut supreme pan pizza. The commercials send me over the moon. -T

Not me. I treat food as fuel and the varieties of stuf that is safe/low anything is huge anymore. Nope. I don't any of it. kp

I don't miss food. There are foods I don't eat anymore because they just don't appeal to me. However, I can eat just about anything I want. If I want something "bad", I'll have a bite or two. One thing I've learned over the years is to not deprive myself of forbidden foods. As soon as I do that, that's all I want. So I don't do that anymore. And it works for me. Tina

I miss everything right now...... Today is not a good day for me and I want to eat everything in site.... I would say my biggest things I miss are diet pop, whoppers, pizza, cheesecake and big macs..... Now I know those are the foods that got me in trouble to begin with, but I am still mourning the loss of them... I am only 2 -1 /2 months out and having some hard days and some good days.... today is one of those days..... I am afraid to try many things so I am still only eating a handful of things.... I really need some variety to help with this... any suggestions????? Shawn M.

You need to try everything. Well not everything, leave out the whoppers, pizza, diet pop, etc. You will never know what you can and cannot tolerate unless you try. For example, before I had my surgery, I hated mushrooms, but now I love them. Just make it a point to try something different each day. Don't make yourself sick over it though.

That is the problem... so many foods are making me sick... That is why I am so afraid to eat food... I am pretty well stuck on peanut butter, spam, yogurt, soft protein bars, very very moist chicken w/ dipping sauce and that is about it.... I am getting very board with my diet and it is gettign frustrating... I have tried ground turkey... tuna... Salmon... and even sometimes the chicken makes me ... I don't know what to do... that is why I am afraid to try to add foods.... OH... and sometimes I can tolerate turkey chili and sometimes I can't... WEll, anyway.. I am rambling now... thanks for the advice... I just hate the pain and the getting sick part... I want to stay clear of that happening.... Thanks for letting me get that out, I needed to get it all off my chest..... I just want to eat normal again Not the way I did before... just normal.... Shawn M.
