Plastics update

Hi everyone I am trying to get my life organized before surgery and I need some advice from everyone who has had the tummy tuck. Is there anything that I should get before that will help with the swelling after surgery like support garments any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks again Hugs Tricia

Hey Tricia.......... Check with your surgeon first, because sometimes they do either offer or "require" garments of some kind to help hold things in place for a period of weeks. (varies). My plastic surgeon, Dr. DiNick, his pre op nurse told me I would be wearing a "garment" much like a corset type, from the chest down to my thighs, with straps, that zipped on both sides. I was measured for this garment, and after purchasing it, was recommended after surgery to wear it for 4 weeks post op, but chose to wear it 6. And often at bedtime, I will wear it as it is helpful while still healing. I also was given at surgery time (they placed it on while I was in OR) a binder (white) that I wore for a couple weeks then it came off. I can still wear either one and find it a great help. So check with your surgeon's office first before going out and buying something, they may require/request you to wear something that they can provide. Stacey W
