Hi Carey,
You promised me one closer to home. When will we get that one? By the way my new insurance is called Molina. It's through the state, I've never heard of it before. Do you know what their requirments are? I've lost 216 pounds and am so ready for plastics, Wondering if I should start saving. Does Dr. dinick have any type of payment plan?
God bless you,
Annette
Hi Annette!
Good to hear from you. There will be one in Wyandotte at the end of February and one in Southgate toward the end of March. I will post the details when closer to the date. I have never heard of Molina. Is it an HMO? You might want to give them a call and find out for yourself. As far as payment plan, we have two banks that we deal with for financing that you would have to arrange.
Take care,
Carey
Hiya Annette,
Sorry about the highjack here but I have Molina and was recently approved for plastics. The only requirements I had to meet were a min weight loss of 100 lbs. kept off for at least 6 months, and the excess skin had to cause rashes/skin breakdowns that needed to be treated by your pcp. And they also need some documentation that the excess skin interferes with you activities of daily life. For that I wrote a letter talking about things like the rashes and the noise i make when i walk, how hard it is to get comfortable sitting and laying because i have to adjust the skin folds and so on. I was first denied because they did not have all the information but as soon as they got the info i was approved, seriously they received the information and 24 hours later i was approved. They also like pictures of the rashes/breakdowns. I hope this helps.
