I know it's been asked a kazillion times (and probably by me!
) but here we go again....If you have had low iron, what kind of iron do you take to bring it up? I need to get on some and want to know what is best for us as far as absorbsion, etc. and what actually "works" for you. Thanks guys!
Theresa

Hey Theresa,
I to suffer from Low Iron/Hemoglobin/Ferritin(iron storage) and I tried the HemaPlex and it did not work for me. My doc is making me get iron infusions and I will have to start with 2 infusions and he is hoping that is all I will need. After that he told me I won't have to take iron anymore. It's funny because he told me that people around our time post op (3 years or so) seem to start having trouble with there iron levels. I have felt so crappy for the last year or so.... mostly the last few months. I just want to have some energy again. But I hope something works for me.
Make sure you get chelated iron......and take it with vitamin C at the same time to help absorption. Also milk within two hours of taking the iron aqnd the calcium/iron will fight each other for absorption.
The nice thing about the HemaPlex.....is it did not make me constipated like most of them do. It's a veg. tablet and it's much more highly absorbable for us.
