Hi Everyone, It's been quite a while since I've posted but I thought I better make this post. I hope you all are doing great. Things here have been pretty well for me. After 4 years I've kept just about all my weight off. Over that last 3 years I've gained about 20 lbs but I can live with that. Other than that everything is the same with me. There have been several people emailing me about the Bariatrics Support Groups Annual Ball. Here is the information I have been sending out in the flyers. I'm sorry but I can't be at the Ball this year. I will be out of the country at that time. I will be in Poland at that time. However, those at the Jackson support group will be putting on a great time for everyone!! If you have any questions please feel free to email me at [email protected], or call me at 517-788-5983. For those of you who don't know, this is an evening gown/tuxedo affair and everyone is welcome. This is your night to be Cinderlla/Prince Charming. You will deffinitely have a great time. This is our 7th year in progress. Please contact me if you have any questions. Here is the info on the flyers we have been sending out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2007 Bariatric Support Groups Formal Ball. Send personal check or money order with a self addressed stamped envelope to: Daniel Klee 2732 Francis St Jackson, Michigan 49203 Last year my bank had a huge problem with me cashing checks to the Bariatrics Support Groups so this year I'm just having the checks made out to me. If you have any questions you can call Dan at 517-788-5983 I think you will all have a wonderful time at the Ball. Gene Davis and Sons has a beautiful facility and this promises to be a wonderful night. Remember, you do not have to be a Barix Clinic patient to attend this ball. We have people from all over and many different hospitals from Jackson to Colorado attending regularly every year. Dan

Sounds like a real nice time, problem is, I may be working, or recovering from surgery so I can't really plan to attend right now. Is there a deadline for purchasing tickets? Thank you Stacey W

Wear a kilt? mmmm surprised I didn't think of that first! Sure you can wear a kilt. When they do the limbo you can reveal your true self! We never really set a deadline on ticket sales but we should have a running total for the Davis' at least two weeks prior to the Ball. If I were you I would get them as soon as possible. If you have never been to one of the balls...or a prom, or anything like that this will be a chance for you to be Cinderella or Prince Charming for a night. It's really a great time. My wife and I have attended for the last four years since my wls and we always leave so inspired. It's nice to see people come together with one common bond...to overcome obesity once and for all and to have a wonderful time all dressed up. We have all the best food that wls surgery people can eat, music, dancing, prize drawings and a chance to meet wonderful people. I promise you will have a great time. It doesn't matter where you had your wls. You can still attend. One thing I would like to mention. If you are a support group leader, let me know when you buy your tickets. Support group leaders get honorable mentions at our Balls. I forgot about that last year and I dont' want to do that again this year. This will be our last Ball for a while. Next year we are passing on the torch to another support group so they can get a chance to host the Ball. Not that it isn't fun...it's just that there are other support groups interested in hosting the ball too and it's fun to go to the different places, get a hotel room, go to the ball and have fun without having to handle all the responsibility. I hope you will be coming! Dan

Hi Connie It's nice to see you still visit here. I'll tell the girls you said hi when they get back from Florida. They had to go for a couple days to take care of some business. It's pretty quiet here without them. We were thinking about a trip to see you in June. How does that sound? How's retirement for Jim? I still have a little less than 5 years before I can get the hell out of there. After that it's all about travel travel travel!!! I can't find your phone number. That's why we haven't called. Email me and let me know what it is so we can talk to you. Catch you later. Dan
