I haven't had surgery yet, but noticed that Gordon Food Center sells real mashed potatos in a container. I know a lot of people eat the instant mashed potatos after surgery. Just wondered if anyone's tried these and how they were?
We had them for our company sponsored Thanksgiving dinner and everyone raved about the homemade mashed potatoes. Boy were they all surprised to learn they weren't home made. Since then I have also purchased them for home and have never been disappointed.
I don't think there's much of a difference as long as they're prepared a little runny. (meaning not clumpy or thick). I had real mashed potatoes after surgery and was just fine. (Not the GFC kind though).
