What would you do? long , sorry

We went to a friends house for the weekend in sterling heights. Their two sons were having a birthday party sunday so we went saturday to help decorate and cook. I knew there would be people there who hadn't seen me since before surgery, so i made sure to bring everything and look good. So the party starts and about an hour into it, in walks a guy i hadn't seen in 20 years. This guy had the major hots for me back then, but i couldn't stand him, he's a huge jerk and control freak. He went to college to be and engineer and was doing good. I had told my husband lots of stories about this guy over the years because he was a friend of my husbands friend and i was sure my husband knew him. When he knew me i was fat, had brown hair, looked totally different. I was hoping he wouldn't recognize me, nobody ever does. It took me a few minutes to recognize him, i even asked my friend to make sure. He recognized me right away, but i acted like he was a total stranger and didn't even look at him. He stared at me the whole time. After all the kids left the party the guys were watching the super bowl. I was cleaning the mess and getting our stuff together to go home. Well all of a sudden i kept hearing my name come up. I was listening around the corner, they didn't know. They were all talking about how different i look and act now and what a great job i've done at my diet....my husband was very proud and told them what a hard time i had at first. When all of a sudden this guy says: " Linda was beautiful back when i knew her, i tried to go out with her many times. now, she just looks old". Now this guy is two years younger than i am. He's balding and has numerous wrinkles, looks like he's been to hell and back. What would you all have done? I was furious! He took all the pride i had and stepped on me, i was crushed. So being the person i am, i went in the room in front of everyone, and let him know how old he looks and reminded him that he's older than i and his life turned out to be **** He didn't finish engineer school, he's a nail tech. HAHAHA I pointed out every single wrinkle and was cracking everyone up about his hair loss. i totally humiliated him. So now today i won't even look in the mirror....i don't want to see the turkey neck or all the loose skin around my face.....I am going to start looking into the lifestyle lift and get that done right away....he crushed my world like nobody else ever could. When my husband tries to make me mad he tells me i'm old, but i never believed him . Linda

Honestly, to me he sounds jealous that your life turned out so much better than his. This was his way of trying to make himself feel better about his own failures. Forget him, he's obviously not worth stressing over as you already know he's a jerk. By the way, from your pic, I believe you are beautiful. Holly

Wow Linda you really let that jerk have it. I probably would have ran into a bathroom and cried. He totally deserved to have his cards read to him. I can't believe what he had the nerve to say that to you. You know he should said that because he was jealous. You were having a wonderful shining moment and was the center of attention, and he just had to ruin it with harsh words. I hope you don't continue to take his word to heart. I think you look amazing and you have accomplished so much over the years(and this is just what I could read in your blog and online posts, who even knows about all the other wonderful things you have done). -Tiarra

You know, i never run and cry. If you make me mad you better be ready for me . The whole thing that made me mad was that he didn't even say it to me, i was in the other room listening and he didn't know i was there. I told him ya know, the reason i didn't say hi to you was cause i didn't know who the old man sitting in the corner was. and i also let him know why i didn't like him then and why i still don't like him now. My standards are high and he never was and never will be good enough for me. Then i sat on my husbands lap, gave him a kiss, and just smiled. Man did i have my husband cracking up.
