I'm a little, okay ALOT nervous to have this done today ! Everyone keeps telling me it's no big deal but I have never had anything like this done. And to think that I will be awake, scares the you know what out of me. Dr told me I would be drugged up but not knocked out so i'm freaking out LOL I'm sure i'll be fine ! I have to be in Traverse by 12:30. Wish me luck ! ~~Rona

Good Luck Rona!!! I know the feeling, I have to have one done next week and I am scared to death that I won't be "drugged up" enough and I will feel and know everything that is going on... Let me know how it goes.... Shawn M.

I think you wil be. I've had 3 or 4 done in my lifetime and don't remember anything about them except going into the room and waking up afterwards. So, hopefully, yours will be fine, as well. Tina

Thank you Shawn ! Well it's done and over.... piece of cake LOL Seriously I was totally overreacting. It was nothing at all. I remember saying HI to the dr. And then waking up. I'd do it again without a flinch ! You'll be fine too, if I can do it, anyone can do it ! ~~Rona

when i had mine i wasn't awake at all. they don't use general anesthesia but they usually knock you out with Versed (sp?) and fentanyl. i'm surprised they told you that you'll be awake. i'll bet you'll sleep right through it.

You were right.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ! they called it an amnesia awake. I would be awake but just not remember anything, or I may fall asleep and not remember anything. Well I was sawing logs LOL

It really is not bad. You are knocked out to the point that you should not remember anything about the procedure. I went shopping after I had mine. Good Luck and watch the snow. Stay warm!!!

Rona you will be fine I am the queen of endoscopy and they are painless. You are in good hands and look the next step towards your surgery. I think we will be walking the halls of Munson together really soon. Keep me posted and I will pop in and visit since I work at the hospital. The drugs will put you to sleep and you will not feel a thing. Hugs Tricia
