Yes tricia ! We will be walking together. Dr came in when he was done and said everything look great. Told me to call Mary Kay (the coordinator) and I am good to go ! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited ! And yes I agree, the endoscopy was a breeze (don't remember a darn tooten thing LOL). I would LOVE for you to visit me, I think that would be great ! And I am TC all the time myself so if you ever go to a support meeting, or wanna meet up let me know it would be fun ! ~~Rona

My endoscopy was a freakin' nightmare. The doc promised I wouldn't feel or remember anything, but to this day, I remember every second. It was the most traumatizing thing I've ever had done. I did my very best to remain calm and cooperative. I waited for what seemed like an eternity to feel that "twilight sleep" from the Versed and Fentanyl...it never came but he proceeded, despite the terribly intense gagging. There finally came a point when the spasms were so bad that I was actually choking on the fluids being forced back up my espohagus as I gagged against the tube. The doctor quickly removed the scope. That hose was being shoved around for more than 5 minutes before he finally gave up, pulled it out and ordered more of the meds. Once they took effect, all I remember him saying is "Ok, let's give it another go." I felt the tube when it first went past the gag reflex, but blacked out for the rest of the time. I pray I will never have to endure an endoscopy again, but if I do, they better make sure I am totally out or I will refuse the test, right there on the table. KathyG
