New Dr. Wood and Dr. Taylor Website

Hello. My name is Steven. I am in the process of creating a new website for Dr. Wood and Dr. Taylor. I am looking for anyone that might want to have their before and after photos or stories on the new site. If you would like your photos on the new website, please send them to sbwebdesign @at comcast.net If you do, please include a statment saying that you are releasing these photos to Dr. Wood for his use. I haven't even been contacted by that office to let me know what is going on. I have an appointment for 3/12/07 and I have no idea where to go. So as of right now I do not want to help them when I am not even sure if I have a surgeon anymore. Not very professional.

Yes I have called them!!!!! DUH!!!! and was told that I would get a letter and that was 1 1/2 months ago. They need to get there crap together, I don't see why I have to look on a message board to find out what happen to my surgeon and their office. I love Wood and Taylor but come on now this is our lives that they are messing with, along with OUR medical records. I don't know about you but I have several thousands of dollars in medical bills and to be treated like this is uncalled for.

I too have called them several times and each time I've been told that I would receive a letter. No letter so far.

Karen I know that thing like new name etc were to take effect Feb 1st. I am sure the only reason the letter hasn't gone out yet is for legal reasons. I know Dr Wood and Taylor were in court with CORI center (MSO medical depending on how you want to look at it) I had my follow up appt the end of Jan and was told that things would be "official" as of Feb 1. I am not trying to make excuses for them, because had I not gotten the answers I did when I did I would be just as concerned as everyone else. I just want to put out there that I am SURE there is a reasonable explanation why so many are still in the dark. Dr Wood is too caring of a doctor to just let everyone hang in suspense due to lack of cariing for his patients or unprofessionalism as someone else said. They changed support group to 6pm the 2nd and 4th Wed of the month. I hope to see your skinny self soon ;) Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, thanks for your reply. I also have the highest respect for Drs. Wood and Taylor and didn't mean to sound like I considered them unprofessional. I took a ride down Ryan and found their new office so I know right where to go for the support group. Unfortunately I won't be able to be there on the 14th (my sister's birthday) but maybe I'll see you on the 28th? Thanks, Karen

WLS costs a lot of money, why are the patients expected to help doctors advertise without any compensation?? I've noticed that because a lot of patients are so proud of their new looks they do let surgeon's use them this way. I think it's unfair. This is what i'll do, i'll let ANY surgeon us my before and after IF they agree to apply the standard modeling fee for an advertisement to the cost of a needy patient's surgery.

your surgeon's already helped out a needy patient... me. I didn't even realize until i got some papers this week showing me what he was paid by my insurance. the man, in my opinion, is a saint. especially since he never even let me know how little he was getting paid for what he did for me. Some of it wasn't even paid for and i'm not liable according to the insurance papers. FOR HIM, i'd do any advertising for free. I don't see how he makes money. The amount of time and care he's given me, including surgery, and he didn't even get paid as much as the imaging center got for my recent MRI's with contrast. It's incredible. I owe him much.
