Is your doctor in network? If not, you might have to hit the deductilble and then co-pays first. If they are in network then you should only have copays. What does your EOB's state? There is generally a note under all the claims (mine lately says something like 'being paid at a higher benefit something something something in network....you are not responsible for unbilled portion'). The letter you received should state why they are not paying for the doctor visits. Can you post that for us? I have BCBS and my PCP was not in networ****il last October. I always had to pay the full bill until I reached the 300.00 deductible and then it was 30 percent out of my pocket until I reached the individual out of pocket maximum. Thank goodness now all I have to pay is the copay!! Michelle

You went to mmpc and the internists are considered out of network per BCBS ppo. You might want to call your pcp and have them fill out a referral form for you so when mmpc bills the claims to BC they will be paid as in network. The problem is the surgeons are in network but the internists are not and you do not have a choice when you have surgery with them you have to see there doctors for surgery clearance. I would call the office and speak to the biller and ask her to submit with a referral form. I went through the same problem when I had my surgery three years ago when I had BC. Tricia
