Hi Everyone, Thanks for your inputs and prayers. Yesterday was quite the scare for me; and I hope I never go through that again! My surgreon assistant called back, and said stop taking my diabetic pills right away. She told me that my body was readjusting itself right now; as well as my metabolisim! Thank God the were with me yesterday or it could be quite a different senarior right now! You are all right it get slightly better each day.I still have very little energy, the gas pains can still get bad sometimes. But I am beggining to see light at the end of the tunnel! As for the very kind young lady that said sharing details can get you ripped to shreds; how dare another justify judging someone elses experiance. We are all different; and even the same surgery for one can turn out quite differently for another! Karma will come back to those mean spirited and judgemental souls! Just remember kindness bringings kindness; and you reap what you sow! THE GOLDEN RULE IS STILL TRUE TO THIS DAY! Thanks for your input; sorry that you have felt attacked; but it is only by anothers ingorance that it is so forget it! Karma will be there! Everyone here has been wonderful to me, and I wish to Thank them very much. Sincerely, Judy R

First off, you rant and complain as much as you need to, especially during these first few weeks after surgery. The people here on this board can be of help whenever you have a question or whatever, but what your surgeon says should be your first priority!! Just remember that!! As for your diabetic medicine, just do what the doctor says, but do call him if necessary! It could be that the dose is now too much for you, and it may need to be adjusted. From what I have HEARD on the board, most people have no longer needed there medications!! Please keep this in mind. You keep your chin up, ok??

Judy, Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.... I was amazed how quickly I felt like myself, but that is not the case with everyone... however it usually does get better each day... I agree with you that you should share everything the good and the BAD.... I was informed that I expected the worst and for me it was much easier than I had expected... I think knowledge is power, no matter how bad or good the knowledge may be.... Being prepared only makes things run more smoothly.... Never be afriad it voice your concerns here, from my experience most everyone is wonderful and will help you out if they can.... Hope you have a speedy recovery and WTG on getting of those diabetic meds already, that is just wonderful.... Shawn M.
