average out of pocket money

I was wondering about what all of you have had to pay out of pocket total for the dr and surgery that have bcbc , I figure I will have about 4,000 into it when I get done I have a 2,500 deductable I think on the surgery . hugs Sherry

It all depends on your policy. The policy amounts will generally be set by your employer. For my husbands we have 1500 individual and 3000 family for out of pocket. Contact your HR department or look into your benefit booklet and that should give you the information you are looking for. As far as my surgery - my husband had emergency surgery earlier in the year and my son had an emergency ER visit before my surgery. I think my out of pocket to the hospital for the surgery was 650.00. But we were pretty close to our limits when I had my surgery. So that helped. Michelle

I was vrey lucky. I had no out of pocket cost. I have BCN though. Maybe thats why it took them 14 months to approve me
