3 Months Post-Op!
I can't believe it has been 3 months already... Although at times it feels like it has been an eternity with all the tummy problems I have had. Now that the tummy problems are taken care of things should be much better. The stricture and ulcers put a little hitch in things, but over all it has alll still been worth it and I feel great. My labs all were fine which they were surprised since I have been trouble eating, but I made sure to get my vitamins and my supplements in, so that helped I am sure...
So the totals are in....
I started my journey at 309
I had my surgery at 290
I am currently at 229
for a grand total of 80 pounds lost since I started my journey and 61 since my surgery....
I was wearing a tight size 26 and I am now in a size 16 comfortably.... I feel great!!!! I am so proud of my success so far and I can't wait to see where I will be when the summer hits....

Congratulations, Shawn, you must be so proud of yourself.
It is utterly amazing how one can feel 80 pounds less. You are on your way to success. Glad to hear the solid food is going down well now, this is what the rest of your life will be like. It can be hard work sometimes, planning your meals and snacks, making sure you have good choices on hand at all times, but it is work that pays off in the long run. Sometimes I just can't believe I'm over 21 months out, and I no longer have to think about losing weight. Never in my life have I known that feeling. Of course, I think about *maintaining* my weight, but to know I'm at a healthy weight is an incredible feeling. I'm sure you'll find this out, too.
Hope to see you at the next Ann Arbor/Chelsea meeting.
