Protien Powder????
Hello Everyone;
Anyone know where to buy a good unflavored protien powder, that you can mix with foods and beverages? I found one at GNC, but it is quite pricey. I want to use it in my water, beverages, and some foods; thus I do not want any added flavors. Thanks for any of your advise. Sincerely, Judy R,
While none are truely "tasteless", I do like the AnyWhey protein powder while some rave about the Unjury unflavored. It is all about personal preference. Optimum Nutritions 100 Percent ANY WHEY Protein is can be added to any meal or snack. It is an almost tasteless powder, fat free, and with 17 grams of protein and only 1 gram of carbohydrates. So I make smoothies or drinks with 2 scoops @ 34 grams of protein and only 140 calories.
I buy mine online - A1nutritionproducts.com. Right now they have the 1.35 pound canister for $15.67 or the 2.7 pound container for $27.56.
I get my Any Whey at Barix when I am there OR you can order it online at
http://barixclinicsstore.com/catalog/c1_p1.html
Any Whey is a sweeter smelling unflavored protein powder.,..compared to Unjury which people here also like.
Designer Whey protein comes from Meijer or Wal Mart and is cheaper but I do not care for it. It is probably least expensive.
Good Luck!

I just bought the AnyWhey at Rite Aid in Wayne and it was 17.99. I use it everyday, but it does clump up quite a bit. I would not use it in water or a cold drink. I have a mug of sf hot chocolate with a scoop in the morning, then some yogurt smoothie with a scoop before bed.
If you do use the AnyWhey, just don't mix it with anything too hot, or you might get some clumping. As Stacey said, it does have a sweet smell to it.
I use the Unjury brand...about 17.65 a container....but I don't use it alot in other foods. I know it was good in jello and soup. I tried it in Crystal light and didn't like it. And you can't add it to anything over 130 degrees or it's nasty and clumps. But I get all my protein in Unjury Chocolate, in skim milk. 29 grams protein per 82 of milk. It tastes like Nestle Quick!!!! I am good with milk. No lactose intolerance. Which is weird cause before surgery I was kinda lactose intolerant. I wouldn't get diarhea or throw up...but I would get a stomach ache. No more.....
How are you doing on your protein and water intake. I had surgery 1 day after you I think. I am getting, most days, almost 85 to 90 grams protein but it's getting all tha****er in thats killin me. I get about 40 oz. water. But the last 2 days I have gotten more...makin my mind up!!! And my appetite isn't what it was right after surgery. Just not hungry.
Good Luck.
judy, hi i use body fortress in chocolate 23 grams of protein and blend it with hood milk. you get 31 grams of protein total i also put in 2 packets of sweet-n-low and i love it. you can mix it with the fat free hood white and it is still 31 grams of protein. the chocolate hood is 90 calories plus the 110 calories which is 200 calories but the the white hood only has 45 calories which is a total of 165 calories. noone ever told me to add sweetner to the drinks but it really makes a difference in taste. this protein is 100%whet and you get 30 servings for $11.97. they come in 32oz. containers. i was using unjury and it was good after i added sweet-n-low but it is $18.00 and only 15 servings. i get double the servings for $6.00 less. i am 6 months out today and i use protein drinks most of the time because maets still don't agree with me. good luck barb
