Anyone in my area??
Hi! I was wondering if there was anyone around the Three Rivers/Portage/Kalamazoo area that has either had or is having WLS? I'm scheduled for surgery on March 30th & would like to have someone close by to talk with about life, WLS, family, job, etc. & maybe just get together sometimes to do whatever. I can't seem to find a support group in this area, unless I'm just missing it. 
I'm 35, married, & a native of Kentucky (have been in Michigan for about 3½ years). Don't have kids unless you count the 4-legged variety! 
Hope there's someone close by!

Hi Kellye my name is Lisa I live in Fruitport thats by Muskegon I am trying to get the lap-band surgery
Who is doing your surgery and what kind are you having. I have to jump over hoops to get this all started. How long did it take you to get the date for your surgery. Everything is happening so slow. I don't even no if my insurance will pay for the surgery. The Doctors Office seem to thinks so. I am happy about that but no prove yet nothing is written in stone yet. Seems a bit lonely around here as I've basically isolated myself since my hubby and I moved to Michigan and I don't really know anybody here at all. The Internet has pretty much been my sole source of interaction with others. *sigh* Being MO it's hard to get out and socialize and even try to make friends so I'm SO thankful for this site.
