Stomach ache!!!
Hey Everyone,
For the last day and a half I have had a nagging stomach ache. Nothing intense just enough to keep me from feeling like eating or doing much. If I eat it hurts a little more! I am not into pain.. I am 3 weeks or so out of surgery; any thoughts to this? I am still struggling to get in my water, protein, and eating. I was tired of crushing my meds; so did I do something to aggravate my stomach? I cut them into small pc.. I get nauseated taking crushed meds; tried in yogart, apple sauce, ect. When will this get better???? I am good one day and bad the next.. FRUSTRATED!! Can anyone help?
Thanks, Judy R.
P.S. Still lots of gas...
I don't know if it is too early for a stricture or not... I started having pain when I would eat when I moved to solid foods... it kept on going, I thought it was something I was doing wrong.... I didn't get it looked at until I was 3 months out and I had a stricture and ulcers....
It never hurts to call your doctor.... After all you have been through I am sure they would not mind you calling to be safe... it could be nothing, just healing, but it could be something and they may be able to fix you right up so you feel better... My advice would be to call your doctor.... I wish I would have done it sooner.....

I was different than you. I was on a vent for a week and didn't come home for 10 days. I didn't take anything but liquid meds. Have you checked your bp lately? I didn't need mine anymore after a week out. I did have to take pills at a month out that were very big while i was in the hospital, they were steroids which gave me an ulcer. It was a achy pain on the right side under my ribs. Isn't nexium for acid? I take prevacid solutabs that melt on your tongue, maybe talk to your doc and ask for that instead.

hopefully you're not taking the extended release Wellbutrin if you're crushing it or cutting it up. It is an appetite suppressant and when I first started taking it i had stomach pains until i got used to it. If you're crushing the extended release you will be getting a large dose all at once and i would imagine that could cause stomach problems.
of course asking advice here might help but you should ALWAYS check with your doctor in a situation where there's pain or something doesn't seem right.
Of course the first bit of advice....is call the Dr. I don't know much about strictures either. I am 1 less day out than you...but had no problems. I am allowed to cut the pills, per the Dr at my 2 week check up. I showed the meds and they ok'd it. I too didn't like having to crush. Was taking me all morning to take meds. You might have some gas....or sorry for saying this but.....need to have a bowel movement. Do you take the pepcid ac??
Good Luck.
