Has any one had any luck getting bcbs ppo to cover their TT? I have a consult on Monday with Dr. Sayeg in Troy. It is a 2 hour drive hopefully it will be worth the trip. If insurance does not cover my PS I am going through a finance co. I have bad credit so I have to put half down it will be tight but I am willing to do what ever it takes. Thanks for the help.

Yes my friend had hers covered by BCBS PPO were you had to be over a year out and lost 100 pounds I had my covered by my insurance and I have a HMO so call BC on Monday and see what the requirments are and if the provider pars with the insurance company and plus are they willing to bill your insurance company I see providers who will not bill the insurance company for you .

I have the same insurance and I saw Dr. DiNick about a week ago. I am awaiting my approval but they indicated that it shouldn't be a problem for the Hernia Repair and TT.

Hey Rochelle, How are you?? My co-worker and my aunt had theirs covered through BCBS and my aunt was even fortunate enough to get her breats lifted during the tummy tuck.

BCBS of Michigan requires that you meet these three criteria: 1. 100 lb weight loss OR a pannus (skin flap) that hangs over your pubic area. 2. A pannus that is large enough to cause skin irritation, rashes, skin ulceration, or infections that are unresponsive to conservative therapy (topical or oral medications) OR chronic back lower back pain. 3. Sufficient time has elapsed (a minimum of 6 months) so as to ensure maximum weight loss and weight stability. BCBS of Michigan is one of the easiest insurance companies to get approval from for the TT. HMO's are much stricter and sometimes require documentation of skin irritation for 6 months, documentation of cardiopulmonary or muskuloskeletal problems for 6 months, etc.
