*Update*on surgery
I am going on 3 weeks post-op on Tuesday. I feel "great". I am moving around good, no nausea or anything related. Few little gas pains. All my incisions are healed over. I was worried, with being diabetic. And speaking of diabetes.....I am on no more oral meds for diabetes, metformin and actos. I am only taking 25 units of insulin am and pm, only because that was easier than crushing all the meds and it is keeping my sugars very level. I was taking 120 units of insulin before surgery and a sliding scale of regular insulin. And my sugars were not under control. I know this is because of diet control now. My blood pressure is also under control and I am on NO....thats NO BP meds. The only meds I am taking now are my thyroid, which I think I will always have to take, and my Liptor. that may change with eating also.
I have lost 20 pounds since I left the hospital. I can kinda tell in the way I move, I can reach around a bit better. My rings and watch are turning. I am still a bit tired...but it's getting better. I am able to walk more now, at least 10 minutes at 2.5 mph. The eating is not challenging YET. I am now getting in all my water, protein hasn't been a problem at all.
I can't thank Dr Carlin enough for having the faith in me, giving me this chance. And all of the support from this website.
This truly is a LIFE REVIVAL
