Hey guys, I have been off line for a while and DANG all the new names on here! LOL Well, I am just 9 pounds from goal now and I am interested in researching plastic surgery. I am interested in a tummy tuck and boob lift. If anyone has any websites they could let me know about I would love to have them. I am only 71/2 months out of surgery but I really want to start the research now. I am one of those who learns all the ins and outs. Thank you all so much in advance. Hugs, Di 254/154/163

Hi Diane, I had Dr. DiNick @ Barix do my TT in Oct 06 and am quite pleased with not only Barix/Forrest Health but his work. I know you are on the "west coast" and that would be quite a drive for you, however, I am 2.5 hours from him and found it worth every mile I put on my vehicle. Take a look at the pre op requirements, what insurance may cover, and not cover, (often you have to be 1 year post op, lost 100 lbs and kept it off) and the breasts sometimes are not covered as they are considered "cosmetic" so be prepared for that. However cases are approved and yours so might be. Take a look at what happens during surgery and post op life. I did a "google" search for "abdominoplasty" and Masteopexy to get the information I needed. Attend PS seminars and try to get to one DiNick does. Email me if you have further questions as this is a long waiting process once you find the right PS. Stacey W

Dr. David Hing is absolutely wonderful. His website is www.cprs-aa.com. He operates out of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Barix Clinics. He has a free seminar at Barix Clinics in Ypsilanti (135 S. Prospect St.) at 10:00 am on 03/17/07. He's also seeing patients at Barix Clinics in Holland, MI in June if you're looking for something closer. Call 800-282-0066 if interested. You can check out his bio and his patient reviews on this web-site too. If you're looking to get insurance authorization for surgery, check with your plan, but most insurance companies require that you have documented skin irritation or back pain from the abdominal apron. Most breast lifts are not covered by insurance. So, now is a good time to start documenting with your physician so that when you're ready for ps, you can easily get insurance approval.

Diane, I have been to seminars with Dr. Dinick and Dr. Hang. I just loved Dr. Dinick and had a consultation with him. He is not in my network so I went to a surgeon in Grand Rapids that had done some surgery on my sons face after a car accident. I was more than happy to go to him and then found out I did my search wrong in my insurance and he is not in the network. So now I am searching again for the right surgeon. I really wish I could go thru Dr. DiNick though, I have lots of friends that have gone to him. He is awesome. My insurance will cover for my hernia repair and for a pannelectomy, but Dr. Livingston in Grand Rapids would also do the full TT for an additional $2000. I was ready until I found out he is out of network which would take me from 90% paid for to 70% paid for. I just can not come up with all that extra money. Good luck on your search.
