Not a normal eating day for me today, as I went shopping with hubby for some shoes for him. Of course, I had to try on some clothes for me while we were there, hee hee. I am 51 years old, and literally, for the first time in my entire life, can go into a store and try on whatever I want, not what do they have in the largest size. I get goose bumps picking up size 6 or 8 pants, and knowing they will fit. B: one scoop IDS belgian chocolate with added cocoa powder and SF raspberry syrup, drunk warm, vitamins L: at Olive Garden. I fill up on the salad and one breadstick. Ate about 4 bites of my Cappelinni Pomodoro (angel hair pasta with tomatoes and olive oil) and brought the rest home. S: two prunes and 1/2 oz. cashews S: two scoops IDS chocolate with SF toasted marshmallow syrup (my treat after a four mile walk) vitamins D: ? maybe some leftover grilled chicken or home made split pea soup so far only 50 ounces water, plus my 24 ounces of water with protein. Debra M. who worked out six days this week, and walked a total of 26 MILES 351/139 below goal

Debra, Isn't shopping a lot more fun now than before WLS? I still will head for the 3x's without thinking. Even tho I have had significant weight loss I still mentally see myself as huge. Another favorite thing for me to do is to go into a restaurant and look for the smallest booth they have. So, far .... (even tho I still am not at goal) I have not found a seat I could not sit comfortably in. I love it! Pam

I think the idea is to eat like a diabetic. It's better for you because it keeps your levels level? If you have RNY your pyloric valve is bypassed which mean we don't automatically release food anymore into our systems as we need it. We have to do it manually by eating regularly at specific intervals. I tried to keep this as trite as possible and to be funny but I feel I have failed in my attempt. Please don't hate me for it. kp

I had 2 ounces of chicken breast with a cheesy topping and 1 cup whole milk for breakfast. I drank about 40 ounces of coffee and sipped water off and on. I snacked on about 2 ounces of lean roast beef lunchmeat and drank my strawberry AdvantEdge protein shake. For lunch, I ate the innerds from a hoagie we picked up in Philly on Friday. It had about 4 ounces lean cold cuts and an ounce of cheese. I gave the bread to the seagulls. The tomato and pickle fell on the ground so I missed that part. I munched on beef jerky, string cheese, and ate some yogurt throughout the day. For another snack, I ate a Balance Protein Bar and drank about 16 ounces of water. I tried to drink some root beer. No go. Made me feel yucky. For dinner I had a chicken thigh and about 2 TBS. cole slaw. Gotta watch the cabbage...it makes me smell funny. After that, I drank 16 ounces whole milk and before I went to sleep, I treated myself with 2 Butterkins butter cookies. I managed to get one cookie in, plus one bite from the second one before the yucky "too much sugar" feeling started. But at almost $5 for 8 cookies, I saved the rest of the second cookie for tomorrow. Not a bad food day for me. I skipped the daily cottage cheese ritual, just for today. It gets old, ya know? KathyG
