Balance?
Balance is the word for me this fine day kids.
Are you in balance?
Speaking from personal experience only, it seems if we don't keep a diligent eye on what we take in we may find ourselves in trouble quickly. More so than the normals do.
This past weekend was a tempest of activity with the band contest. We were in it and I hosted it at my school. I didn't keep track and my system is a mess. There ain't enough cod liver oil/exlax/MOM in the world that's gonna unplug these pipes. I realized this morning that I only drank 48 ounces of water from Friday night to Sunday night. Not good. I will pay.
Keep track boys and girls or ye shall pay the piper.

I never had a problem until I had to start taking iron suppliments 2x's a day. I just try to up my water and I use fiber sure in my oatmeal every morning. I also try to get in lots of fruits and veggies. The only problem with that is the GAS. I think my DH is ready to disown me......LOL Poor guy. I feel so bad some time. Sometimes I will chase him out of the room. But what do you do. Good luck------Toni
You are so right! I work 4 days every two weeks third shift and this is my weekend!
Every time I work, it messes up my whole nutritional program. I end up not eating and drinking right and yes I am sitting here contemplating a good old fashioned "butt missile"!
I have taken a first shift position that starts after my plastics in April. I hope this helps.
Thank you again for your reminders to pay attention to ourselves, life goes by quickly and we need to keep pace.

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!!
I too am working on the balance part of things. I just took on a three day a week job (doesn't sound like much) and it's messing up my eatting/ drinking schedule MAJOR!!! Good grief - balance is an elusive thing some times. I actually do OK while at work, but then I wasn't at home to prepare dinner so it throws me off for the rest of the evening. The answer is simple: I just need to get more organzied!!! HA - easier said then done. For me, I'm trying the crock pot tomorrow morning for my dinner.
And my confession for the week: Too much icea tea from restaurants and NOT enough WATER!!!!!! The ice tea in restaurants is not decaf like mine at home. Not good, not good. I've been a naughty girl this past week!!!
UGH - life goes on and I'll do better this week.

I went through this when i started working at arby's. Its hard enough making all the food and not eating it. So i drink sf lemonade and eat turkey or apples and grapes while i'm working. 48 ounces is awful for three days, you need to keep water with you or crystal light to packs. You know, crystal light has the hydrating ones now and are yummy. Hope you don't have to pay too much..... poor terri!
Hugs
