Psych Exam

I am scheduled in a couple of weeks for my psychological exam. Can anyone tell me what to expect? My surgery is April 10th!

my opinion, that is the easiest one out all of the pre-op tests -- atleast was for me. I had to take a test, long... boring... but no big deal. The questions were so stupid "I like reading mechanics magazines" answer with true or false? then I had to talk to the psych guy for an hour and done deal. Congrats on getting a date ! Really the test is a piece of cake. ~~Rona

Rona had it a lot harder than I did. This is how it was for me. Doc: Are you sane? Me: Um, yeah Doc: Do you think you can handle gastric bypass? Me: Yes Doc: Are you sure? Me: Yes Doc: You're all set Me: Thanks

Insurance paid for it. No wait, I think I paid a whole $10. LOL

Mine was the same as Rona's... long boring test, then talk to the doc for a while... It wasn't hard, just long and boring.... Good Luck!!! Shawn M.

I didn't have a hard time either. But she made me feel ...not sure what word it would be...but she played Devils Advocate...asking what made me think I could do this....if I couldn't follow any other diet. Many time she asked this. Asked did I know what I was gonna be allowed to eat, things like that. I took no written test at all...and I too only paid minimal fee....I think $15. Good Luck

I managed to FAIL my psych exam. When I appealed, I wrote that her speciality was GERIATRIC psycharity, not BARIATRIC!!! Needless to say, I was approved!! Don't worry, you'll be fine!
