4 Years out!

Hi everyone- I haven`t posted in a long time because my life is so dramatically different and busy since the time I was obese. 4 years ago this month I had my BPD/DS. I`m healthy, happy and have gone from 250# to 125-130#,size 24 to size 8.I would have never dreamed I`d ever be this small again. My husband of 39 years loves it! Since my surgery,I`ve retired and become a state & federal wildlife rehabilitator, specializing in migratory songbirds. I would never have had the energy to do this work before my surgery. So if long-term post-ops don`t post very often, please be aware that we are still available for encouragement or information. As you get further out from your surgery, you tend to focus on your interests in life and move away from thinking so much about your weight.I did that for 30 years-now it`s time to enjoy myself. Congrats on doing such a great job! It's good to see older postops posting their successes. Life is just so different, and i think it's something all the newbies need to see to inspire them and let them know what they can do. Hugs Linda
