OT: My Sister is Very, Very Sick
For those of you who pray (or send positive vibes into the universe) our family could really use some added support. My sister was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer as well as ovarian cancer. She is currently at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor working with a team of specialists. (Her name is Jody.)
Also, if you would be so kind as to keep me in your thoughts and prayers too, I would appreciate it. I've never been much of a stress eater, but am finding that food is a very comforting thing right now. My sister most certainly would not want to see me start any destructive patterns, especially if she thought it was related to worrying about her.
Thanks, in advance.
Maria W.
Hi Maria,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your sister during this uncertian time in your life. I am an emotional eater and I understand where you are coming from. If you really feel the need to nash carry celery w/ pb, carrots, apples and protien bars with you at all times. keep some in your car and in your purse. When the urge strikes you will be less likely to eat something bad if you have something with you to eat. Good luck to you both. God Bless and take care------Toni
Maria, I'm so sorry to hear about your family. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and am sending good energy/Reiki into the universe for the situation.
I happen to live in Ypsi/A2, and my son was treated at peds hemo/oncology at the U for more than a year - I was so grateful for the excellent care he recieved, and I can't help but think she's in good hands there.
Take good care of yourself, and if there is anything I can do, please email.
Namaste, Donna
