Could you tell me what shakes you are drinking and how many times a day? I want to start losing now! I have cut out ALL pop, that has been very hard for me, I've had terrible caffine headachs. I am tired ALL the time, that was before the I gave up pop. I just want to start to work towards a new life, I am so tired of being fat and tired... I do not like what I see when I look into the mirror. Please tell me what I can do to get a jump start on this, I am so ready... Crystal, I pm'd you back, did you get them?

Get the matrix cookies and cream. Bariatriceating.com guarantees you'll like the flavor or your money back, they've never made that guarantee before. I'm ordering some for myself too. Get some crystal light or tropicana sf lemonade, that tastes good. Drink as much water as possible and start walking. None of us liked what we seen in the mirror, that helped us to change. you have to totally change your lifestyle. Eat protein first, fruits and veggies next, then fat or carbs last.....limit the fat and carbs. You mentioned that you're always tired. Do you possibly have sleep apnea? Have yourself checked. Hugs Linda

Thank you Linda, Now, with the drinks, how many do I do a day, will it say? Do I just do them, or eat with them, or dod they replace a meal, or will it say? Am I driving you all nuts yet??? I'm not sure about the being tired, I do have 4 little ones to keep up with, they are 4,4,3,3~3 girls and 1 boy. I also had a full hysteroctomy back in 03 so my hormones could be out of wack again. I do actually drink between 40-60 oz of water a day, but up until a few days ago I was also drinking pop, coffee with sugar and cream, juice (sugar)...

You aren't driving anyone nuts, we are all here to help. I drink one protein shake as soon as i wake up, and one just before i go to bed, thats what is recommended. It isn't a meal replacement, but make sure you buy the low sugar ones, ones that are less than 5 grams of sugar in a serving. I drink 100 or more ounces of water a day. the sf stuff is considered water also. My nutritionist says at least 64 ounces, bu****er flushes our system and i feel better with more water. Here's what i do in a day when i wake up i drink protein then a hour later i usually have an egg and a piece of toast then a few hours later a few grapes and half an apple for lunch its usually deli ham with cream cheese rolled up. I season the cream cheese with garlic powder and salt and pepper and put a green onion in the middle before rolling it up. this is if i'm home. If i am at work i usually eat roast turkey breast rolled in a lettuce leaf with onions tomato and sometimes i dip it in ranch. when i get home from work i usually have a sf popsicle or something like that for dinner it varies. Sometimes i eat like the family eats. Last night i made lasagna for the kids , so for me i had some spaghetti sauce with meatballs and melted mozzarella on top of that. It was good Then i may have another sf popsicle later before bed i have a shake I take all my vitamins and drink all my water throughout the day. If you notice i hardly eat any fat or carbs, once in a while i will , but not often. Now get out and walk! Hugs Linda

Tracey - You got some great advice from here. Just wanted to add a little to it. Don't plan on stocking up on ANYTHING preop. Especially protein powders and what not. Your taste will change after surgery and you can waste a lot of money this way. Protein drinks are different for everyone. There are a thousand kinds out there. Some say soy protein is the best others say whey protein - I say it won't matter. I personally do not see the advantage to drinking protein drinks right now. I'd save that for if/when they put you on a liquid diet before surgery. Some ppl have had to be on the liquid diet for two week prior to surgery (sounds like forever to me). I suggest just eatting as well balanced as you can. Cutting out pop was a GREAT thing (bty: I was addicted to diet pepsi, drank probably about 3 20 ozs per day. Gave it up right before surgery and now even though my surgeon says I can have it again - I can't stand the taste or texture of pop in my mouth at ALL!!! YIPPIE) Walking would be a good thing to start doing as well. I know with your kids that will probably be difficult though. Last thing (for today) heeeheeee Read PROFILES!!! Get on here and read what happend to Linda Ton in her surgery experience, read as many as you can. In doing that you will answer many of your questions and probably come up with others as well. Best of wishes to you Laurie PS. You need a picture on here. I just soooo LOVE you hair!!!!!
