I eat Obertos alot. I never have had a problem with it. I know other post ops that eat it as well. They never have problems with it either. If I could I would eat a bag a day. Suzanne

I'm a red neck so I knows my jerky. Just look at my pic. I even look like a Billy Bob. I buy from these guys and it doesn't last long. http://www.thejerkyoutlet.com/ kp

thanks. i'm gonna try ordering some of that. i can't STAND the store bought stuff. it tastes like fake meat. it's soooo processed it's awful. the texture is sooo bad. i like the stuff from Omaha Steaks (made with tenderloin) but it's too expensive the way i can rip through this stuff so quickly.

i did a little more research, apparently they're in a bit of trouble with the FDA. and their fat and moisture content is rather high. try this: http://www.jerkyoutlet.com/beef-jerky-outlet-locations.html it's awesome.

I can't seem to find it again as i didn't have it bookmarked and i've been to about 15000 other websites since (we browse a lot!) I can tell you that it mostly had to do with them calling it beef jerky but saying it had to be refrigerated. something about the moisture and fat contents. true jerky does not need refrigeration. What kind do you get because the place i'm using doesn't have all the different game, just beef and i know you're into hunting so probably into the more interesting types of meat. sorta like usta and his gal.

I can't speak for usta. She's a strange bird. I like any kind. beef, turkey, goose, elk, deer. It don't matter to me none. Just as long as when I'm buying I don't hear the words, "Boy, you sure gotsa perty mouf." kp

Hey Patty, I do jerky on a daily basis. I buy the Jack Links. Low sugar, low carbs and LOTS of protein. I eat a 2 oz. package everyday. The original has the most protein, less sugar, less carbs. I also like the teriyaki (how ever you spell it) I have been eating simce 6 weeks post op. It works really great for me. Sometimes though I have to take a small sip just to add a little liquid to it. But, it has never given me a problem just remember to really chew it good. Hope this helps. Di
