Hello, Do any of you know the ideal percentages we should shoot for in terms of percentages of our daily intake for protein, carbs, fat, etc. post op? I had a hand out once from my nut giving the ideal amounts we should eat each day but can't find it anywhere. Any help on this is so appreciated. Thanks bunches. Pam

This varries greatly depending on the Nut and what stage of your journey you are at. I remember that when losing I was supposed to get in 64+ water daily, 60 - 70 grams of protein, 30 or LESS grams of carbs (the good ones), we didn't ever discuss fat or calories really. The focus was on the protein and on the carbs. Now that I'm at goal life is different. 64+ water is the same, my body requires closer to 100 grams of protein per day (found out the hard, painful, almost died way on this), according to my Nut my good carbs are anything under 100 grams, fat - still don't track that but I'm a stick and don't need to; calories: UGH, the downfall of the last year of my life. They say I need 1500 calories per day. I've fought for a year now to get in that many calories!!! I can finally do it without adding in the empty liquid calories. I've maintained my weight (+ - 5 pounds) for the past year. But this is all what my Nut said for ME - yours could be very different. You should give them a quick call and ask about it for you! LOL i don't count carbs, fat or calories. I just make sure that i am very aware that what is going in my mouth is nutritious. Now i get over 80 grams of protein and probably about 100 or more ounces of water. I'm very active though and am moving at a pretty good pace when i work. hugs Linda
