I watched it. I do love Carnie. I however didn't like the way (WLS'ers) we where being portrayed. We didn't have control over food, now we don't have control over anything in our lives. I got a very " holier then thou" attitude from the show. I am a big Oprah fan, but I was very disappointed with the way we (as a group) where portrayed. Yes, I am a BIG advocator for counseling there is a reason behind our weight issues, I think that is what they where TRYING to say, but it DIDN'T come across that way at all. Take care----Toni

Yes, I love Carnie too. She seems so genuine. And I do know that addiction transfer is a very real thing with some WLS people, but not ALL, and some addictions are not as extreme as they were discussing. But I can relate in some aspects. It is a roller coaster ride as we try to learn who we really are. It's not something particularly because we had wls, but alot of issues are because we were heavy, not confident, hiding behind our weight, or whatever the case may be. It just shows up when we go thru this huge change in our lives. I do think therapy to help post-oper's thru this should be mandatory...you and I have both said this HUNDREDS of times! But yeah, I don't like on the show when it gets steered to an opinion, like, "wow, everyone who has had wls has these issues and at this bad of a level." Hugs, Theresa
