I'm Back, after being sick.
Well it has been a crazy year so far. Had that Norovirus and then ended up with an abcess in my throat the size of a golf ball, which required emergency surgery. Was in the hospital for 4 days. Finally feeling better took a long time to recuperate from it.
On Feb 27 our mare finally foaled after 12 months and 3 days. She had a large colt with complications, which are now all resolved. We almost lost both of them. It was crazy but all is well now.
The biggest news is that I am a Great Grandmother. On March 6 my granddaughter had a baby girl. 6 pounds 15 ounces, 19 inches long. I am only 57 and think that is to young to be a great grandma but guess what it isn't. She is a beautiful baby. here is the link to see her http://www.memorialhealthcare.org/babies/baby.asp?id=2709 I just love looking at them all but especially her. She makes 5 generations of all girls. SO when my oldest daughter comes home in July it will be picture time.
Well time to run. Thanks to all for listening.
Oh by the way March 8 was my two year anniversary and have lost 127 pounds so far.

Sounds like things have been very hectic but I am sure they will start to settle down. Congrats on the great-grandbaby she is beautiful and I love the name.

Unfortunately you can get it again and again from what I understand. I have had it now twice. Once back in November and then again in Jan. Guess from what a Dr told us at Memorial Healthcare, you can get it again, also you are infective for at least 3 days from when you were coming down with it. It also stays in your system for up to 30 days. That is what they told us at work. Nice virus isn't it. I don't want to see it again.
This is the longest gestation any of ours has had. It was really a freaky thing. Baby is huge though. I need to get some pictures downloaded if I can figure it out. Computer illerate person that I am.
Thanks,
Brenda
I was wondering where you had been. I am sorry you have had a tough way to go. What are the symptoms of the Norovirus?
Congrates on your weightloss and your 2nd anniversary. Can you believe it has been 2yrs already???? That GG Baby of yours is a doll. Take care and I hope things are looking up for you now. God Bless and take care----Toni
