People with hernia repair?
Hey Girlfriend! Thanks for the gentle hugs and vibes! I was told I still cannot drive or do anything so it is driving me CRAZY!!!! I can't stand this doing nothing. I have a show on the 30th and I can't do anything for 6 weeks so Jim is trying to do as much as he can. He won't even let me out in the garage because I don't do as I am told, so he says!
Oh well, it will be spring somewhere soon and hopefully it will reach here and melt all of our snow seeing I can't ride my snowmobile anymore this year. We still have about 2.5 feet of snow. Man it is driving me crazy to see it and not be able to get out in it! Maybe I need to head to Florida to catch some rays and not see it!! Take Care and talk soon!!! Hugs!

Hey Tami,
I am scheduled 4 hernia repair 3/14. I am however post bariatric surgery by 5 years. I had a number of health issues etc. post surgery & only now getting back on track. Do you have any advice/experiences you can share that may better prepare me 4 this surgery. I have not read much "here" & have only just joined OBH.
kind regards, mjk
I think it depends on where your hernia is. I had open Gastric Bypass and then a full anchor Tummy Tuck so I had double the scar tissue. I had a Ventral Hernia which was located to the right of my belly button. The reason my hernia surgery was so complex was because of all the scar adhesions that he ran across when he got in there. He said it was really a mess. It took him 40 minutes just to get rid of the scar adhesions so that he could do the hernia repair itself. So I guess all I can say is be prepared for anything. I thought I would be in and out as an outpatient and out doing whatever but thats not the case. I spent the night in the hospital was told I should spend two. Can't do anything for 6 weeks and it is driving me crazy. Plus the terrible "FULL" feeling I have which makes it really uncomfortable to eat or sit very long. But I guess alot of that is the swelling that I still have. I wish you luck on your surgery.
