Surgery in three days and need to ask a question about Hurley

Hello all I am going in for my LAP RNY on Monday the 19th at Hurley. I was wondering if any body could answer a few questions. Is there any internet in the rooms? How long was your stay? And how long were you out of work. Thanks in advance Piece Scott

Scott, There was no internet in the rooms, at least that I know of. I had surgery on Tuesday, was released on Thursday. As far as being out of work, that would be pretty much dependent on what type of work you do because of the lifting restrictions. I went back in two weeks. Marie

Hiya Scott, No internet that I know of- we are put into the Burn Unit after surgery. I slept and walked and got out of there in 3 days- I had open RNY and Gall Bladder out. I took 3 weeks off work- I was feeling back to normal by 2 weeks- but since I had the time I took it. Dr. Obeid was awesome and so was the nursing staff. Good Luck! Jennifer

Scott, If you ask them, they do have a wireless computer that you can use there... I had it by my bed, but never used it, I was too out of it and wanted to sleep, so I let my roomate use it... But yes, they do have it available.... Good Luck on Monday!!!! Shawn M.
