Not my time for WLS
I have been at odds with myself about having WLS, I have spent MANY of sleepless nights praying and trying to figure what I was to do. My husband will support me no matter what I do.
I do not think this is the right time for me, we are fosterparents, we current have 3 foster children who are 4,4,3 our adopted daughter who is 3, 17 yr old son, and 19 yr old daughter who is married pregnant and has been to the ER 2 times, once lastnight.
If I do the WLS, then all my foster children will HAVE to be put into other fosterhomes while I recover, NOT going to happen. Our 2 fosterdaughters have spent their short lives in hell, and I am NOT about to be the cause of putting them though more. My pregnant daughter needs me right now, I need to be able to help her with cleaning, doctors appointments, and I will also be cooking for them.
My husband is in the middle of opening and building his business. He needs to focus on that, or we will not have money to buy food...Well, atleast I would lose then
I JUST CAN NOT DO THIS RIGHT NOW!!! I don't like it, but I have to wait for the timing to be better...
I have spent the last 2 weeks, watching what I am eating, working out almost everyday, and I have lost 9lbs. I don't think I will be able to lose all of what I need to, but in some small way I will need to put myself first and do what I can.
I have given up pop, and I am eating only natural foods, no processed, drinking lots of water, and taking vitamins. That is more then I have done for myself in a very long time.
I hope you will all still be ok with me coming here reading and letting you all know how I am doing with losing.
Prayers and Blessings to all, Tracey

Hi Tracey,
This surgery is not for everyone. You are right you are not ready for this. I hope you continue to try to lose the weight on your own. The surgery is a last option. When you are ready to take the plunge and make the major lifestyle changes required for this then I hope you will look into it again. Best wishes to you.
God bless,
Annette
Tracey -
It sounds like you have a real peace about your decision and that is great!! The "why" you decided isn't really important as long as your comfortable with your decision.
Wow, no pop, no processed foods... gee you're actually eatting healthier then me right now. heehee (I don't do pop, but processed foods are embedded in my house still). Now tell me what kind of vitamins are you taking??? I'm trying to get on a Shaklee regimin, it's just a little too much money for me right now. (well, OK maybe more then a 'little') lol
Hugs,
Laurie - gonna be a Sooner in 107 more days.
