On April 27, 2007, I will be having a RNY in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Foote will be doing the surgery. I am not sure what to expect...scared a little, but know many have made it through will few complications. Wish me luck!

Thanks for the encouragement Suzanne! I can't wait to eat real food again. I look so forward to having this surgery as it will hopefully resolve so many secondary health problems.

Shannon, I sure hope so. This will be my first major surgery and of course am scared...I typically hate pain...And I typically require many pokes for IVs. Mark

Hi Mark!!! Congrats on your date!!! You have nothing to be afraid of with Dr Foote!!! I had him for my dr back in October last year and I am so glad he was the one that did my surgery!!!! I highly recommend him to anyone!!! You are in good hands!!!! If you have all your homework done and your head is in the right place you will be fine. Do what you are told to do and you should have no trouble at all. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Again congrats on your date!!! Hugs Judy PS Where are you from?

Thanks Judy! Of course I have tons of questions, but don't know where to begin...I am from Grand Ledge. So far, I am quite pleased by the attention given to me at MMPC. Grand Ledge is on the far west side of Lansing.

Mark the only pain I had from my WLS was the gas!!! After the gas left me I was fine...I never even used the pain pump at all!!! When I had a couple bouts with the gas pains they gave me something for it and it went away fast. They take great care of you at spectrum!!!! You will be fine...Trust me!! Hugs Judy

Hey Mark, Wish you tons of Luck. I am almost 6 weeks post op. Never ignore any little thing; complications can creep up anytime. Had a few but would still do the surgery again. Ask any ? on the board we are all good about trying to give you the best information we have. Good Luck, Judy R.
