Hey Everyone, Here I am with another ?. Couple of weeks ago diaginosed with a stricture; and an ulcer. They think they corrected the stricture; but can it go back quickly? Also on 3 meds for ulcer how long does that take to heal; and can it still make me sick enough to continue barfing??? I do not barf a lot but; it seems sometimes even more than an hour after I have eaten I get sick.. Last night I got sick, but it was not much of the food I ate that came up; it was foamie looking white acid?? Anyone had this experiance; and can you tell me what my tummy is trying to tell me?? I take Nexium twice a day, cariffate, and regalin. I have a stomach ache everytime I eat; my stomach is telling me it is not very happy with me.. I also am still having problems even drinking enough fluids; I get a stomach ache then as well. I am not back to work yet because of the complications I have had; I am thinking of returning to work April 1. Hope I can maintain enough energy to get through the day; having a very difficult time with the protein.. Any advise greatly appreciated.. Thanks, Judy R,

Did they test you for h.pylori infection Judy? I had that and it causes something like 80 percent of ulcers. It has to be treated by antibiotics or it cannot be gotten rid of and you will continue to form ulcers. They can do a blood test or a breath test. Wendy

I have to tell you, when I first had my surgery I barfed for a year straight. Not everyone is like that, but I sure was. Sometimes it was food that I was throwing up, but the majority of the time it was dry heaves with that white foamy crap. I get the shivers just thinking about it. I think once your system gets used to the new way of eating and gets adjusted to all your meds you will be fine. Things will eventually get back to normal I promise. Just take it one day at a time. Have you tried shrimp? Shrimp has a ton of protein in a small amount and it's very easy to digest. That and eggs.

This is why the surgeons make the big bucks, to take our calls when things aren't right. Yes, strictures can come right back, or you could just be tender from the ulcer and all. Are you chewing everything to oblivion and beyond? That may help a little. The foamies are miserable but by themselves are not an indication of a big problem. I went through them until I learned to slow down, chew each small bite at least thirty times (yes, I finally started counting) and gave up on chicken breasts and eggs. I don't know about the ulcer, again, call the doc!

Hi Judy, I just wanted to let you know that when you post, you can only choose the picture for the title from the "Title Images" box. If you type in something like : clap: in the title, it won't show up. Just a little tip from me to you Brenda
