Needing help in MI please :)

Hiya everyone! I popped into this board a couple months ago when I started my WLS journey and realized I would be using a surgeon in MI. You were all very kind and guided me to the DS board Anyway, the reason I'm writing is that i need some advice. This is what I posted on the DS board but thought I would post here too since some of you may know howe to best help. MANY thanks for reading and if you can think of something, I look forward to hearing from you!! Hiya everyone!! I have my consult with Dr. L in MI this Friday. Originally a friend of mine was going to drive me (I can't drive since my accident) but her boss won't let her take the time off. I panicked this morning when we found out she couldn't go and booked a plane ticket to Detroit as i was worried if i cancelled my appointment with Dr. L that I wouldn't get to see him for a while I'm wondering if anyone else has taken air to Detroit and how you got to Dr. L's office in Bloomfield Hills? Some say Taxi and another lady flew to Windsor and hired a driver to take her into Dr. L's office. She said that was cheaper and something I'll look into for surgery time. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a driver in Detroit who would be cheaper than a taxi? Or is taxi it? One lady told me she spent something like $70 on a taxi from the airport to Dr. L's office. I nearly choaked!!!!! If anyone has any better ideas, I would LOVE to hear from you!!! Many thanks Randy in Toronto

You could take the tunnel bus into michigan and then take the woodward bus to bloomfield hills. That would be the cheapest i think hugs Linda

I don't know how expensive they are, but I always remember using Metro Cars when going to the Airport. I cannot imagine Metro Cars charging that much from the Airport to Dr. L's office. It's not that far. Like 25-30 minutes. Dr. L was my surgeon. From the Airport, I think I would take Telegraph to Sq. Lk Rd to get to his office. That's probably the easiest and fastest way to get there.
