Apparently you have to watch what you say. Using the F word is unacceptable in some situations. Those who know me understand that at one time I was "fat" but since I apparently am not anymore I am not privileged to use that term. I was reminded that it is a derogatory term. I said, "watch the fat guy" while conducting a challenging portion of music at festival last week during sight reading (straight ones by the way with both bands). I used it all the time when I was horizontally gifted but I guess since the leopard changed his spots,,,, Now that I am not a gravitationally augmented individual I will watch what I say. It is important to be politically correct. I will try not to offend anyone in the future. Terms that are acceptable - Longitudinally gifted Horizontally augmented vertically challenged spatially gifted For your pets- Equine American Canine American Feline American Aquatic American (Gold fish will now be referred to as fish of color) Add to the list if you like and make the world a better place. I'm sure I missed some. kp

I had a student tell me that someone said the "F" word to him. So, I asked him to whisper to me what was said. And he said, "He said Fart." I was relieved as these were 3rd graders. LOL.... LMAO....fish of color....

But there are black birds on my porch and blue jays in the tree. And I heard gold finches flying over. Now what to call them all???? Most of your students and their parents and lots of the folks in competitions have never known you as a fattie so they can't visualize it. And if some of them are amply endowed, they don't
