OT: My daughter is royalty
Tonight was our community's scholarship pageant and the members of the royal court do a lot of community service work for the following year and receive college scholarship money for it.
Well, my daughter Stephanie was selected to be on the court. There were 16 girls nominated by members of the community this year and they all had to write an essay and answer some very hot topic-type questions and they were judged on their answers and their poise and such.
I am sooooooo proud of Stephanie and I had to toot the horn for her! Thanks for letting me brag abot my little girl!

I understand completely! My daughter was chosen as Houghton Lake's Junior Miss in 2001...$5,000 scholarship, as well as a really neat to experience for her (and us!)! The were judged on scholastics, poise, interview, talent, physcial fitness, final question, etc., and she won! I was SOOOO proud too! Again, congratulations to your daughter! I know how you all feel!
