I am hoping maybe someone out there can help me figure out why I feel yucky all the time lately. My stomach always seems to be upset. I don't feel like eating. I still make sure I eat 3 meals a day. I know I am not getting all my liquid in a day. I keep trying. Could dehydration make me feel this way. I have done really well on my weight loss. I am 3 months post-op and only have 16lbs to go to get to my goal!

today is my first day at this. i am in process of being approved for surgery. you must've not been very heavy to only be 16lbs from goal. so far i am just reading up on this message board thing. but its nice to see problems others are having. can't really help you on your question--just wanted to talk to you about how much you weighed b-4 surgery.

Well I am sorry to hear that you don't feel all that well. I have not had my surgery yet, But I think that being dehydrated could make you feel yucky like you said. But you should let your surgeon know how you are feeling. Maybe you are lacking something. Please do take care of your self. That is great on your weight loss. I hope that someone else can give you some words of wisdom.

Dear Lori, Are you sure you are getting enough protein? I was feeling very yucky and looking it as well until, I began to get in at least 50-60 grams a day! Protein is just as important as liquid maybe even more so. Protein runs our whole bodies system! I am sure you already know that. I also had an upset stomach most of the time and it turns out I have an ulcer; and had a stricture as well. Dehydration can also make use feel this way, as well as that making our potassium go very low (which is extremely dangerous)! Get checked out right away and don't let it go on please. I am a little over six weeks post op. I have learned a lot lately with all the trails I have had. Protein and liquids go hand in hand; and potassium is a major factor as well. I too hated feeling terrible all the time. Good Luck, Sincerely, Judy R
