outpatient surgery?
i have outpatient surgery tomorrow to repair a hernia, remove the "dog ears" and revise the tt. Has anyone else had something like that done outpatient? was it really hard to leave on your feet? i can't stop thinking about waking up from the first tt with tubes coming out of me and not being able to even sit up in bed at first. it's just hard for me to imagine walking away tomorrow. maybe they keep you there all day or something?
Well I am still recovering from what was suppose to be a simple hernia repair done Lap., but it did not turn out so simple. I had serious scar adhesion from my TT and he could not get to my hernia until he removed the scar adhesions. I ended up with mess measuring 10" by 4". Thats huge when you have a flat tummy and wear a size 6. haha!! I was told I might go home that day but ended up staying the night and begged to go home the next day but I really admit I should have stayed another day. So take it easy and if you don't feel like going home, DON'T!!!! Stay where you can be monitored and have the proper meds if necessary. Take Care!!!

I'll give you a straight answer for once.
I went in in the am one day and was out by 11 am the next. They call that outpatient if you are less than 23 hours I think.
I didn't have a hernia repair though. It was simple dog ear on the one side and an even out procedure on the other.
I hardly had time to **** anyone off.
Tell GQ I said hi and I have a PB&J waiting for him at the Palace.
