Can an insurance approval be carried from place to place? And another ins. question.

I'm working on getting approval through the Barix Clinic in Ypsilanti at the moment. However, I'm also considering going through Hurley Medical Center in Flint. If I get approval through the Barix Clinic, is that approval good at other surgeon's offices? Also, Barix claims that they have a special arrangement through BCBS of Michigan so they are usually able to get approvals. So I'm wondering if it would be harder to get approval via another surgeon's office. I really like the Barix Clinic, but boy it would sure be easier to go through Flint because it's closer to where I live.

I don't know if the approvals can go to other surgeon's offices... but I do know (being a Hurley patient), that I was so impressed with the care I received and am still receiving from every one at Hurley... they were pretty good about getting my stuff submitted and approved too....
