Hi Myrna... I am not sure what you are needing, but I wish you much luck on getting those 9 pounds back off... I guess you just need to get back on track to the way you were eating when you were still in your "honeymoon" phase. I am only 4 months out, so I am still trying new foods and dealing with ulcers and things like that.... It is great to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you better.... Shawn M.

Hiya Myrna, Boy it's been a long time! I am sorry you are struggling. It sure can be VERY frustrating, can't it. This isn't very comforting, but it is normal to rebound 10-15% of our loss. I am not saying that is an excuse, but it can and does happen. Once we hit near the 3yr mark it really becomes a struggle for many of us. What is hard is that many on this board now aren't far enough to know how much of a struggle this becomes. The sad part is we are not told any of this. We were sold on the idea that this is "permanent" weight loss. I thought I wouldn't ever have to struggle again. I know people will tell you get back to basics, and yes that is correct if you aren't eating properly, but what about those of us that are still eating properly. 99.9% of the time I only will eat healthy food. On a very rare occasion I will eat something dumb, like the other day for instance, My 2yr old grandaughter and I went out for a "girls day" and we went shopping and I was planning on taking her out to dinner, well she started to get VERY tired, So being a bad "Meme" I went thru the drive thru and got her chix nuggets and apple dippers minus the carmel and milk, I will usually eat a salad if it is necessary to go to the McD, But I was driving, so I got a cup of broccoli soup....hear comes the bad part......and French fries......UGGGH......there I said it! The reason, even though not a good one for the fries is that I am allergic to wheat so I can't eat crackers so I use the fries to thicken up the soup so I can eat it driving down the road.....LOL. I live 30miles from where we where and Jayden was just getting to tired so I didn't want to take her in anywhere so hence my eating behind the wheel. Aren't you glad you don't drive the same roads as I do....LOL All joking aside. Between the things I can't/don't eat because of surgery and my wheat allergy, it really narrows things I can eat. For me, I am a stress eater, and if I am uptight I will eat to often, Even if you are eating right, It doesn't matter if they are good or bad calories if you get to many and not enough exercise to burn it off we will gain. It is so frustrating. I have found I will gain with much few calories then I would in the past. I don't know if it's because I am getting older or if my body has adjusted to this surgery and is burning less. I have heard recently that our bodies can and do do this, the only weapon we have for this is exercise.....another....UGHHH! I am really trying to step it up in that department. Not only for weight but also for my health. I leave my yoga mat in the middle of the livingroom floor so that it reminds me to use it. I have been using it 2-3x's a day, not always a full regiment, sometimes I will just get down there and stretch. So I guess what I am trying to say, to make a short story loooong....LOL. If you are eating right try exercise, if you are exercising, but doing the same thing every day try mixing it up a little, because your body will get use to your workout and it won't reposed anymore. So walk one day, weight train the next, then maybe some yoga, or whatever you like, just try to mix it up. It really helps with the bordem also. I hope to see you on board more often. God Bless and take care.----Toni P.S. I am looking forward to seeing your new pics.
