Very upset !!

I have everything done , that I was told I had to do , all test seen the nut Dr and it was when I was seperated from my husband so I was truthful told him everything ...now he has put a hold on my surgery !!! am just so upset !! He told me to continue counceling , so I have done that my husband is back with me and we are doing great !!! now he isnt releasing the papers cause he wants to wait and see if everything works out for my husband and I !! i TOLD HIM am doing this surgery for me !! not anyone else its somthing I have wanted for a long time .....I even told him hey I was honest about everything ..now I wish I would not of told him a thing ...ya no . this is not even right ...everyone has problems ..life is not simple ..I work a lot ..what dose he want me to do quit my job and stay home to take care of myself ?? am just really disgusted right now and am at the point of getting anothe dr because of this . what do you all thing ? Find a new doctor. He's a gastric bypass surgeon, not a shrink. If you decide to stick it out with this surgeon you should let him know that regardless of whether or not your marriage works out, you will have family support. I'm guessing that's the only reason he is concerned. My 2 cents....I would drop him like a ton of bricks. (the surgeon not the husband, lol) I'm not paying him to lecture me on my marital woes, I'm paying him to fix my weight problem.

thanks Julie , the dr no I have family support ...my mother even went with me to the Dr appo...plus I told him my whole family is behind me ... am really thinking about changing drs lI put so much time into this one I hate to have to start over ..... Sherry

the nut Dr did .Scott,I am supose to hear back from him today . when I first talked to him I told him I was having some marriage problems ...but I dont think that should hold up my surgery. sherry

Since the doc won't do your surgery yet, you have NOTHING to lose by going to see another doctor. Who knows you might find that you aren't as comfortable with another surgeon as you are this one, so to you it would be worth the wait. All I can suggest is exploring ALL of your options! Personally I wouldn't let this doctor stand in my way of surgery.....I would also drop him like a ton of bricks! Jennifer 355/211/150

Me too !!! Dosent the dr know that the way you feel about yourself makes all the difference in a relationship? If you feel better about you the marriage will probley do better.

I hear you loud and clear. My NUT doctor failed me, but never gave me a reason why. I appealed to the state, telling them her speciality was "GERIATRIC" not "BARIATRIC"!! I gave them three options, so they knew I was willing to work with them. Keep your chin up, ok??
