gas pain

i know i haven't posted anything in here but i read it everyday. i need to find a good gas relief cure!! i get major gas pain no matter what i eat or drink. the pain is high in my stomach. i had a really bad day 2 days ago & ended up in the hospital. i never had anything like it before. i threw up 7 times, but don't know if it was because the pain was so bad or that i was that sick. by the time i got to the hospital i was so dehydrated they couldn't find a vein to put IV in. i have pokes all up & down both arms & hands. there was no letup on the pain at all. i couldn't stand, sit or lay because of it. i was a wreck. i take xtra strength gas x (doesn't always do the trick) but is there a reason why i get so much pain from time to time? this was the 3rd time it happened but this was the worse. the other times it lasted about an hour. this time it went from 8:30pm til 2am before the meds started to kick in that they gave me in hospital. they kept me overnight there. took xrays but nothing showed up. my temp dropped so low they couldn't even get a reading. sorry this is so long, but i need any help i can get to try to keep the gas pains under control. i had open ryn 1-1/2 yrs ago & lost 165#. i am at goal & love every second of it!!

Hi Kathy Ann, I know those gas pains are a monster! I have heard there is a quick disolve strip that works well; think it is made by gas-x. I sometimes use pepcid xtra strength chewables. Have they checked you for a stricture and or an ulcer? When I thought I had whorific gas pas that is what mine was... Totally uncomfortable and unbearable! I ended up unable to hold things down, even water, was dehydrated; and very low on potassium as well. This is very dangerous; and can even kill you. Please be proactive about your health!! hi judy, thanks for the info. i don't think its a stricture, since i have no problems any other time keeping food or water down. have no clue about an ulcer. will that cause major gas problems that getted trapped & don't come out? what kind of tests do they do to find out if it is an ulcer? sorry to hear you had those problems. hope all is going well for you now. kathy

I have to take a pepcid dissolveable pill in the morning and if I feel a lot of gas during the day I take papaya enzymes. You can get them from GNC.

Make sure they check you for Gallstones and Kidney Stones or an ulcer!
