Pregnancy after surgery

Has anyone on here had infertility issues prior to gastric by pass surgery and not had the problem after surgery? I didn't ovulate prior to surgery and I have lost about 120 lbs and not sure if I am now. I haven't used protection for 6 months and haven't gotten pregnant. I believe I still have the issue. I am scheduled to see my specialist on the 12th of April. I am already getting an attitude that it isn't going to work. I am looking for someone that has been through this with positive results. Tammy - I am 15 months post op (170 lbs gone) and almost 6 mo pg following 11 years of infertility. My periods started to become regular about 4 month out and it was only for a few months I used any protection. After all it hadn't worked for 11 years...... We are thrilled and I would suggest you check out the post-op pg forum here on OH. There are many women there either pg or looking to conceive. Sheryl In the Zoo

Sherry, Thanks for your reply. I only used protection for about 6 months and have been of them for about 6 months. I was 1 year out on March 7, 07. I will be seeing my specialist next week so hopefully I can get things started. I wish I didn't need him though. I wish you well with yours!! Thanks again! Tammy
