I was wondering if there is anyone on the waiting list for surgery with dr foote? And how long thay had to wait after all information was in ? Am getting so excited now cant wait to get a date for surgery. Sherry

Hi Sherry, They told me it would take 2 weeks after all my test were done, but that also depends on your insurance and how long it takes for them to approve. I go in today for an appt. with nutritionist to begin my preop diet and pa for a med check. Dr Foote wants me on an 4 week diet instead of the 2. Alan

well I no my insurence is all approved , heard from them today and thay said next week I should hear somthing on a surgery date ...when is your surgery date ? could you let me no about the pre-op diet also why do you have to be on a 4 week diet ? thats what am so worried about ...losing this 15 pounds dr foote wants me to lose . Sherry it all depends on what your insurance requires. My BC/BS said all I had to do was meet the requirements and the surgery was a go. It took about a month from the start to surgery date for me.

Hi Sherry & Alan I am just a little behind you guys (I hope). I have my appointment with Dr. Foote tomorrow . My internist appointment last week went well and all she wanted was more blood tests. Please keep me posted on where you are at and how long things take at MMPC. Also, what insurance did you have? Any problems getting the approval once MMPC sent in all the paperwork? Hello, I have not posted here yet but after reading this I could not help myself. I am currently in the process of doing the crazy doc appt the sleep study and then lab work and I believe they will then send my paper work into my insurance for approval. I am praying as this has been a very long journey for me that my insurance will not fight me but I have heard that blue care network is not the easiest. So we shall see. I have not been scheduled an actual doctor yet but If I am able to chose I am hoping for Dr. Foote. I am so glad to see some other mmpc posters I have been watching and did not see many so I was a little worried. Good Luck to all. Melissa
