Well it's been about 3months and I've gotten a date for surgery.. They asked me to lose 40lbs before surgery and i managed to lose 44lbs. He said all my blood work and my chest exrays and EKG looks amazing so they were ready to book my appointment ASAP..... I don't know what to feel at this point.. it's soo.... wow.. i don't even know what you say or think.. I mean I've been thinking about this surgery since July 2006 and I began to do the paper work and stuff in September. I just wanted to have the surgery before my birthday (April 25th)... They told me that my surgery date was set for April 26th! I'm not mad about it.. I'm happy, nervous, excited, anxious, and then some!!??!?!!??!???!!!! I need some support feed back.. SOMETHING!!! By the way I'm having my surgery at Henery Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.. My surgeon is Dr. Carlin- That man is toooooooooooo cool...lol

Hey there.. i drank alot of low fat high protein blended drinks with 1% skim milk (I'm allergic to skim.. but if your not them use that).. i have a sweet tooth.. so I used a packet of twin or sweet n' low in my drinks aswell.. I didn't eat too many fruts.. just once a sweek .. because that can slow down weght loss.. and i was on a MISSION to get the weight off so I could have this surgery. Also I ate LOTS of greens (cooked or raw).. I didn't have anything that had white flour or white sugar in it. I didn't have any bread.. if I had a salad it had whole wheet crutons.. but I tried not to have any Starchy foods at all.. my carbs came from my veggies, fruits and there's also carbohydrates in proteins.. so I didn't cut out the carbs.. but I did take away the starches.... Bottom line.. when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired.. you'll get angry and grab you life by the horns after a while.. and do what you need to do.

Wow ,44#'s thats great in it's self!!! God has a way of working things out what a Birthday gift to yourself starting a new life. There will be alot of head games that come along with this surgery learning to eat differently then before listening to your body is a very big part of starting over .But it sounds like your really getting ahold of your life .
