YIKES!

Mel just called to tell me that the "Detroit" shooting of three people (Check CNN.COM, it's the top headline right now) was near her office and supposedly a "disgruntled employee" is on the loose, lives in Troy and is considered "armed and dangerous". I miss living in Miami, the Bronx, and Jerusalem where it was quiet and safe.

I'm surprised it made it on CNN, this happens daily here, people just walk around waving guns and such. I'm just kidding but that is how the media often portrays Detroit. It is also funny to me how anytime anything bad happens just about anywhere within 100 miles of the city of Detroit, it is still called Detroit. I think the media must do that just to make it sound more dangerous. I guess it was kinda the same with Dallas when I lived in Texas. Holly W

i'm cracking up about it being someone who worked on their website. i can relate to the sentiment but really he should play some GTA San Andreas or something to work out the frustration, not play with real guns and hurt real people.

It's terrible. I always love when I try to tell someone where I grew up that's not from downstate. They ask, I say Bloomfield Hills, they say, where? So then I usually tell them a suburb of Detroit. Then comes the big.....Oh........LOL My brother lives in Troy not to far from that office. When did you live in Jerusalem? My brother and my sister-in-law lived there a while back when they were going to cantorial school.

back in the early 80's. right before the first intifidah. I lived on a kibbutz near Haifa for awhile and then took off and slummed it in Netanya and Jerusalem.

Before their time. Although my brother lived on a kibbutz for a summer when he was in high school (I think). Except I think that was in the late 80's if I remember correctly.

They caught him near I 75 and Amelith road near Bay City MI.
